If you’ve ever dealt with textile inks and coatings, you know the frustration of a print that looks great at first, but then cracks or peels the second the fabric gets stretched. Usually, that’s because your lamps aren’t actually getting through the pigment. They’re just “skinning” the surface. That’s where our gallium iodide lamps come in. These are basically drop-in replacements for most industrial curing tunnels. They fit right in. But here’s the thing: these lamps pack a lot of energy. You need to make sure your cooling system can actually keep up. If your exhaust fans aren’t pulling heat away fast enough, you’re going to scorch your synthetic fabrics. And nobody wants a melted shirt. One last tip on the electrical side. We wire these for stability, but they need the right ballast to behave. If your voltage jumps around by more than 5%, the light shifts and your cure rate drops. Keep your wattage exactly where it’s rated, and your production speed will stay smooth and consistent.
