Getting the Power Right
We build these lamps to fit your specific ballast. It doesn’t matter if you’re making a small, portable sanitizer or a massive industrial HVAC system—the voltage and wattage have to be spot on. If the voltage is even slightly off, your electrodes will burn out way too fast. That’s a headache you don’t want. We spend our time tuning the gas mixture and the filament thickness so you get the UVC output you need without sucking up extra power.
The Stuff We Use
You can’t just use any glass. Standard glass blocks UVC, so we use high-transmittance quartz. It lets the light through. Since you’re the one branding these, we give you a few choices on the end-caps. You can go with standard pins or something custom so the lamp just slides right into your fixtures. We can even add special coatings to the glass if you need to tweak the wavelength or make the cathode last longer.
The Real-World Trade-offs
This is the part where you get to call the shots on the design. You pick the length and the diameter to fit your chassis. But here’s the thing: if you crank up the wattage to kill germs faster, the lamp gets hot. Really hot. You’ll need to make sure your housing has plenty of airflow, or you risk cracking the quartz. We’ll give you all the raw data on how the light decays over time. That way, you can be honest with your customers and set warranty terms that actually make sense.
