When you’re picking out a UV germicidal lamp for a big project, it’s easy to get tunnel vision. You start obsessing over wavelengths and wattage. But here’s the thing: you also need to make sure the thing doesn’t blow a fuse or start a fire the second it’s plugged in. That’s where CE certification comes in. It’s more than just a stamp on a box. It’s basically a promise that the gear is electrically safe and won’t mess with other electronics nearby. The safety side of things UV lamps aren’t exactly “plug-and-play” toys. They use high-voltage ballasts and can put out ozone. If you use gear that hasn’t been properly vetted, you’re risking current leaks or weird interference with other sensors on your factory floor.
